CADIZ NATURAL PARK
ResponderEliminar-Is located in the center of the Atlantic coast of the province, on a large wetland, is the Bahía de Cádiz.
-It was declared a natural park since:July, 28 1989.
-In the marshes, are plants like spartines, salicornia and sarcoconia according to the flood level.
-We can find an abundance of invertebrates in the muds (coquinas, miñocas, crabs). The predators of these invertebrates are the correlates, needles, curlews, archibebes, herons, cigüeñuelas, spatulas], storks, etc...
-The diversity of ecosystems present, with marshes, dunes and beaches, as well as a complex network of canals and estuaries, allows the existence of different plant formations that constitute the habitat of numerous species.
-Parque Natural is home to several species of endangered wildlife, among which the black stork. The population of Spain is more or less 200 pairs.
This means that we now have 48% less than before.
In the last 10 years the population has been increased.

DESERT OF TABERNAS:
ResponderEliminar-This desert is located in Almería ,has been a natural spot since 1989(now 29 year). It is an incredible landscape, has a lot of variety of fauna and flora, there are species unique in Europe ,are great plains that give you a feeling of freedom and quite special amazement. This desert has average temperatures above 17ºC.This place was declared bird protection zone so we can find many varieties of them ,like for example the real swift, the rocky plane, the rocky solitary, or the grajilla. Also in this unique place inhabit reptiles such as the red-headed lizard, ladder snake or the ocellated lizard and mammals such as the fox, rabbit, dormouse and the two species of Spanish hedgehogs, the Moruno and the common. As for the flora, you can see exclusive endemisms of the area, iberonortefricanismos and rare species worldwide, which only appear in it and other points of the same characterization. The singularity of the Almerian desert flora is defined by the presence of the cruciferous Euzomodendron bourgaeanum (Tabernas endemism) and others such as Limoniun insignis or the parasitic Cynomo rium coccineum. Taray and oleander appear on the ramblas.I have visited this desert in the holidays and it really has seemed very nice and interesting, I would not mind going back, in and around it there are many things to see.
ResponderEliminar2)Although in the desert of tavern does not know any species in danger of extinction, inhabits a species of very rare animal called fénec. Is a nocturnal fox with large ears, these ears serve not only to hear what happens around it and thus to survive in the desert but also serves to liver the body heat and stay cool.

ResponderEliminarThe natural park of Aracena y picos de Aroche it's located at the western end of the Sierra Morena mountain range in the Huelva Province close to the border with Portugal. It is considered a National Park since July 28, 1989.
It has a large forest mass, favored by a mild climate with a high rainfall. The landscape changes depending on the altitude and humidity. Meadows populated by Oaks are replaced by cork trees in some areas the oak forests are frequent in the highest-altitude. Has a dense vegetation sclerophyllous of holm oaks and cork oaks and that to be very punished by logging slash, is giving way to a dense thicket of heather, mastic, strawberry trees and thyme.
In this natural park can be found a wildlife varied, as the Wildcat, wild boar and deer and where we will also be able to see birds of prey, such as the Black Vulture, Griffon Vulture, not to mention different types of Eagles, these aren't the only birds that you can find there for example you can find blacks storks or lesser Kestrels. For other hand includes ,fox, badgers, genet, Iberian lynx...

ResponderEliminarThe imperial Iberian eagle is endemic of our peninsula, that is to say, only it lives in this part of the world. It is a question of a species perfectly adapted to the climatic conditions. The imperial Iberian eagle is a threatened bird; in 2013, 407 pairs were registered in the peninsula. Unlike the imperial oriental eagle of Eurasia and Eastern Africa, the Iberian species does not emigrate. Every pair defends his zone of hunt and reproduction (approximately 2.000 hectares) all the year round

1- I've chosen El Estrecho natural park. It is located at the southern most tip of Spain, just 14 kilometers of the coast of Morocco and it has been a natural park since 2003. It counts with 10000 hectares of land and 9500 hectares marine. It is very well located because of the uniques temperatures and level of salinity creating a zone of wide diversity. Within the park you can find different ecosystems, each with its flora characteristic, the Mediterranean scrub is the most abundant, contains species such as palms, heather, mastic and other species, forests are mainly cork alternating in some areas with introduced pine species. The most important fauna in the park are birds. Sixty percent of Europe's raptor population passes through here, as well as virtually its entire population of storks.
ResponderEliminar2-Inside the park, we can observe the imperial eagle (Aquila adalberti) and the black stork (Ciconia nigra), considered endangered and “Species that should be object of protective measures concerning their habitat,” according to European regulations. From 2002 to 2016, it has been introduced 84 eagle pups, wich has allow that from 2010 we count with 4 breeding pairs.

The Sierra de Andujar Natural Park is an example of the typical Sierra Morena landscape. A large number of threatened emblematic species find their refuge here, between the Mediterranean mountain and the meadows of the heart of the park, the steep of the north and the dense pine forests of the south. The Natural Park of Sierra de Andujar is a natural protected area located to the northwest of the Province of Jaén (Spain) and completely within the municipal term of Andújar
It was created in 1989.in this park you can see the most numerous number of stone pine. The river Jándula crosses the natural park, and on the other hand the park is the main reserve of the Iberian Lynx, in danger of extinction.
The Iberian lynx is a wild cat species native to the Iberian Peninsula in southwestern Europe that is listed as Endangered on the IUCN Red List. It preys almost exclusively on the European rabbit. In the 20th century, the Iberian lynx population declined because of sharp declines in rabbit populations, caused by myxomatosis, rabbit haemorrhagic disease and overhunting, fragmentation of grassland and forest habitats and poaching.
By the turn of the 21st century, the Iberian lynx was on the verge of extinction, as only about 100 individuals survived in two isolated subpopulations in Andalusia. Conservation measures implemented since 2002 included improving habitat, restocking of rabbits, translocating and re-introducing Iberian lynxes, so that by 2012 the population had increased to 326 individuals. As an attempt to save this species from extinction, an EUproject is underway that includes habitat preservation, lynx population monitoring, and rabbit population management.
Hi Michael! I'll talk about Sierra de Andújar National Park.
ResponderEliminarThe Sierra de Andújar is in Jaen Province lies in the central part of the Sierra Morena mountain range. This park also occupies a small part of Cordoba. This parl counts with 75000 hectares. It is a National park since 1989. Due to his location, it has a very good climate and thanks of it the wild species can continue to live. In there, grew up a lot of plants' species such as willows, poplars, stone pines (with edible pine kernels), Alder and Wild olives. In terms of shrumbland includes Oleander, Rosemery and Thyme. Looking for the animals, this park includes Wild Boar, Red Deer, Fallow Deer, Mongoose, Wild Cat, Fox and otters.
To know how important is this park, we only have to look at the percentage of kind of animals that are represented in this park. In there we can find 53% of anphibians, 37% of reptiles, 20% of fishes, 38% of mammals and 48% of the birds. But now, we have to look at the animals that are endangered. The imperial eagle, the black vulture or the black stork, iberian lynx are endangered animals and I need to tell you an important fact: There are 178 birds' species that has extraordinary importance.

Hi Michael, I´m going to talk about The Sierra of Baza.
ResponderEliminarThe Sierra de Baza Natural Park is part of the Cordillera Penibética located in the northeast of the province of Granada, limited with Almeria. Was declared a natural area protected by Law on 18 July 1989, approving the Inventory of Natural Protected Areas of Andalusia.
The Sierra's topmost point is Santa Bárbara, at 2,271m. In the mountain range of baza there is a lot of humidity and there are higher rainfall than the lands that surrounds them. Thanks to its mountainous character and its great extension make this natural space a place of great richness and botanical variety.
Wooded areas include Austrian, Aleppo, Stone, Nevada Scots and Corsican Pines plus Gall, Holm and Kermes Oaks. Shrubs include Juniper, Phoenician Juniper, Peonies, Laurel, Mountain Ash, Rosemary, Lavender, Sloe and Spanish Barberry.
Mammals include Red Deer, Roe Deer, Wild Boar, Fox, Badger , Genet, Stone Martin, Wild Cat and Common Shrew.
Birds of prey iclude Golden Eagles, Short-toed Eagles, Booted Eagles and Bonelli´s Eagles, Peregrines , Kestrels, Buzzards, Egyptian Vultures and Eagles owls. Other birdlife includes the Crested Lark, Red-legged Partridge, Hoopoe, Turtle Doves and Woodpeckers.
17 species of reptiles and 8 species of amphibians.
ENDAGERED ANIMAL:
One of the most endagered animal in sierra of baza is a type of lizard. has a very limited world distribution area, limited to some mountain ranges of the Betic system. Very demanding when it comes to selecting their habitat, this is a species of undoubted interest in fauna. Its existence went unnoticed for science until more or less recent dates, becoming one of the last vertebrates described in our country, back in the 50's of last century.
It is a small lizard that does not exceed 5 cm in length adding head and body. The legs are quite longs.

ResponderEliminarOsprey, species in danger of extinction, is a vulture of quite peculiar characteristics. This bird of prey owes its name to the habit of throwing its prey from great heights and then feeding almost exclusively from its bones, unlike other carnivorous animals.Although the bearded vulture is threatened in Europe, the species is widespread in Asia and Africa, and is relatively common throughout the area. Thus until 2013 the state of conservation of the species was of "minor concern", but in 2014 happened to be described as "almost threatened"

ResponderEliminarNATIONAL PARK OF THE ATLANTIC ISLANDS
It's located in the Galician coast specifically in Rías Baixas, the National Park of the Atlantic Islands is composed by four archipielagos called: Illas Ons, Illas Cíes, Illa de Sálvora and Illa de Cortegada.
It has been a National Park since 1st Jully of 2002.
Illas Ons: it is formed by two archipielagos: Illa de Ons and Illa de Onza. Their are is near 4.5 km2. Illa de Ons is the only one that is inhabited al the year...in 2013 the population was 81 habitants, it is located in the Ría de Pontevedra mouth. People sail everyday from different tows such as Portonovo, Sansenxo, Bueu, Cangas and Marín. In this two islands there are different types of animals such us Common bottlenose dolphin, the european storm petrel and the red-billed chough. Personally I really like this islands because every summer I go there with my uncle in a Dorna (a tipically boat of the Galician coast).
Illas Cíes: it is formed by three archipielagos: Illa Norte, Illa Do Faro and Illa de San Martiño, their area is 4.46 km2, it is located in the Ría de Vigo mouth. It is declared a natural park in 1980. In this islands we can find the bigger yellow-legged gull's colony of the world. In this island there is the largest Galician population of camariñas (a tipically shrub of the atlantic Spanish coast). It has the most beautiful beach in the world in 2017 (Praia de Rodas).
Illa de Sálvora: it is located in the mouth of Ría de Arousa, its area is 1.9 km2. Mostly is a rocky island. There is the bigger Galician Lesser black-backed gull's colony.
Illa de Cortegada: it is located into the Ría de Arousa. In this island is located the largest European laurel's forest, a large extension of fungus and we can find a big colony of Mazarico Galego (it's a bird type of this area)
In this National park there's no endangered animal but the European turtle is one of the endangered animals in Galicia:
Almost a hundred European turtles, the most endangered reptile in Galicia, still survive in the wetland of As Gándaras de Budiño. The drought of the land, the abandonment to which it is subjected, and a mining law that plays against it, endanger the survival of one of the three communities of this type of Galapagos that remain in the Galician territory. Its future, according to experts, is not encouraging.

ResponderEliminarTHE IMPERIAL EAGLE
Lately, the imperial eagle has been one of the most on the verge of extinction bird. But, with the help of some NGOs, the amount of these eagles is the same as in the 1980s (when it almost was at its highest). Six of the nine adult breeding pairs that live in Doñana have reproduced successfully, because there are four nests with three chicks each. Anyway, there are 500 breeding pairs of the imperial eagle all over Spain and Portugal which are vulnerable and in need of better food (rabbits are the 70% of their diet), though it's no longer in inmidate danger of extinction in the Iberian peninsula. But, since the iberian lynx (which is also in danger of extinction) feeds with rabbits and the rabbits population has fallen by more than 90%, there is a big problem with that, but the NGOs are solving it successfully since the amount imperial eagles is increasing so fast.
Sierra de Maria los Velez
ResponderEliminarToday I am going to talk about the natural park of Sierra Maria los Velez. This park is located in the north of the province of Almeria, with an area of 22,500 hectares. The northern slopes are cooler and more humid. In this park there are different types of trees but predominates Laricio Pine and Aleppo Pine, some trees can have up to more than 100 years. 25% of mammals are in danger of extinction, even so in this park mammals predominate as: boar, badger, weasel, etc.
In this park there are numerous types of animals. 65% of the animals that inhabit here are mammals. My favorite is the wild cat. The wild cat is like the domestic cat but more dangerous. These cats do not usually live in a herd. The wild cat fortunately is not an animal of extinction but 35% of the types of animals that are in the world are in danger of extinction.

ResponderEliminarHi Michael, I´m going to talk about the national park of Doñana.
Activity 1.
One of the national parks in Andalusia is Doñana. The mayority of the territory of Doñana park is in the province of Huelva but also part from Seville and Cadiz. It has been a national park since 1969.
There are several natural parks in the surroundings of Doñana. In the municipal term of Sanlúcar is the natural park of the Algaida of free access and with a landscape very similar to the pine of Doñana. Its marshes are one of the largest wetlands in Spain. Also it is a privileged place because of the variety of landscapes in the surroundings. El Coto del Rey and Abalario are home to extensive pinewood, pine forests, and dense Mediterranean scrubland that provide a suitable habitat for the Iberian lynx, and several species of raptors such as the imperial eagle.
Doñana has 108.086 hectares.
There are 20 species of freshwater fish, 10 of amphibians, 13 of reptiles, 37 of non-marine mammals and 360 birds, of which 127 are habitually reproduced in the Park. At the beginning of autumn and during the winter you can enjoy the presence of miles of water birds as places and roots of northern Europe. In spring and summer, storks, herons and swallows come from Africa, among other species, in search of food and a milder climate.
The amount of flora in the park is huge. There are many species of: trees, such as pine; flowers, like the rose; and shrubs. Pinewoods, riparian forests, cork oak forests, scrub patches, coastal areas and especially wetlands (marshes, lagoons, streams and rivers) are very favorable means for the development of very diverse birds.
Activity 2.
The Iberian lynx is a species of carnivorous mammal that we can find in the Iberian peninsula. There are only two populations in Andalusia with a total of just over 300 bobcats. In the Montes de Toledo there were about fifteen individuals and therefore makes it the most threatened species of cats in the world.
It is a feline with long legs and a short tail. It has pointed ears that end in a brush of stiff black hairs. Also they are characteristics the pins that hang of their cheeks. The males have the pins and the brushes black and longer than the females.
In 1960 we can know that there were more than 5000 lynx, but little by little they have become extinct.

doñana;
ResponderEliminaris a natural reserve in Andalusia, southern Spain, in the provinces of Huelva. The Doñana nature reserve includes both the Doñana National Park, established in 1969
The geological profile of Doñana National Park reflects the development over several hundred thousand years of a deep aquifer and geomorphological features that have enhanced the biodiversity of the wildlife habitats presently found there. After the end of the last glacial period, the area was covered by freshwater and brackish marshes, ponds and sand dunes,[8] with some marine intrusions caused by high-energy events such as tsunamis and large storms.
There are 20 species of freshwater fish cataloged in the Park, 10 of amphibians, 13 of reptiles, 37 of mammals and 360 non-marine birds, of which 127 have nesting seasons in the park.
There are many species of flora in the park: trees, including pines, flowers such as roses, and shrubs. Of special interest are the species Vulpia fontqueran, Tursica Linaria, Juniperus macrocarpa (maritime juniper), Micropyropsis tuberosa, Hydrocharis morsus ranae or Thorella verticillatinundata, many of them endangered. Non-native species such as eucalyptus, Acacia longifolia, Gomphocarpus fruticosus, Nicotiana glauca or Carpobrotus edulis (cat's claw) are removed by the park service.
Iberian lynx, whose habitat is restricted to the Iberian Peninsula, is the most endangered of the big cats. Precipitous drops in population counts due to the drastic reduction of fish stocks that are its main food source led to its being declared a protected species in 1966. The only extant colonies of the Iberian lynx are in the Natural Parks of Sierra de Andujar and Cardena, Montoro, and Doñana with its surroundings; the other mainland colonies of former times are considered extinct. In Portugal recovery efforts to preserve its remaining habitat have resulted in the creation of the Sierra Malcata Natural Reserve. (85%)there are in danger

I'm going to talk about Sierra Nevada. It has been a national park from 1986. The natural environment is very variated, Sierra Nevada Park has the highest variety of vegatation in Spain. Sierra Nevada Park has 36% more variety of vegetation than the other biggest natural parks of the rest of Spain. There is 2100 species of flora; one of the most important is the scot pine. This amounts to two thirds of the total list for Andalucia and 1/4 of the plants listed in Spain. There is preudo-alpines, humid pastures covered with snow. This present one of the most fragile and exclusive ecosystems of the massif known as boreguiles containing a great vegetal biodiversity. The wildlifes that live here are: the Spanish Ibex, as there around 15000 of them. There are also raptors as Golden Eagle, Bonelli's, Eurasian Eagle, etc.

Of these, two can still be found on the Iberian Peninsula, but the remaining two are now extinct. The Portuguese subspecies became extinct in 1892 and the Pyrenean subspecies became extinct in 2000. An ongoing project to clone to the Pyrenean subspecies resulted in one clone being born alive in January 2009. This is the first taxon to become "un-extinct", although the clone died a few minutes after birth due to physical defects in lungs. The ibex is an animal that we can find usually in Sierra Nevada Park.

ResponderEliminarThe Spanish imperial eagle or Iberian imperial eagle is a threatened species of eagle that only occurs in central and south-west Spain, adjacent areas of Portugal and possibly northern Morocco, although the latter is disputed. Formerly, the Iberian imperial eagle was considered to be a subspecies of the eastern imperial eagle, but is now widely recognised as a separate species due to differences in morphology, ecology, and molecular characteristics.
ResponderEliminarThe Spanish imperial eagle averages smaller, 2.5–3.5 kilograms (5.5–7.7 lb), 78–82 centimetres (31–32 in) in length and 180–210 centimetres (71–83 in) in wingspan, and darker than its eastern cousin, and is a resident species (eastern imperial is partially migratory).
